We are excited to announce a new series of private lesson opportunities featuring some of Oregon’s most accomplished players.
Our ORNXT VIP lessons are designed for experienced players, ages 12 to 18 years old who have goals of playing lacrosse in college. These lessons are a chance to learn directly from local players who are currently playing at the highest levels of college lacrosse. Lessons are one hour in length and will be held at our facility in Tualatin.
Once a lesson is purchased, we will contact you to coordinate schedules between yourself and the coach. Lessons options are – $75/hour for an individual lesson or $200 for a bundle of 3 lessons.
Eye protection (helmets or goggles) is required so along with their stick, players should bring along all of their protective gear and a water bottle. Cleats or a good pair of training shoes work fine on our turf.
To sign up, in the pull-down menu select your position. Then select a specific coach or no preference in the second pull-down menu. In the third pull-down menu choose the number of lessons you would like to purchase (single or bundle of 3).
*Social Distancing measures will be observed during the lessons. Coaches will wear masks and maintain at least 6’ of separation.
OFFENSE/MIDFIELD – Sam Handley – University of Pennsylvania (Jesuit ’18)
- Penn – ’19 Inside Lacrosse Freshman of the Year, Ivy League Rookie of the Year
- 1st Team All-Ivy, 1st Team All American
- Jesuit – ’18 OHSLA Player of the Year, 3x All American, 3x 1st Team All-State, Team Captain.
Sam exploded onto the college lacrosse scene in his freshmen year which ended with his taking home multiple awards and honors. Sam is a multi-dimensional player whose strength is in his ability to dodge and shoot on the run.
OFFENSE/ATTACK – Ross Scott – Rutgers University (West Linn ’19)
- Rutgers – Starting Attack as a Freshman
- West Linn – 2x All American, 3x 1st Team All-State, Team Captain
Ross’s strengths are his quickness and change of direction. He specializes in dodging and can score from a multitude of angles and shots. Ross has also made it through to the final cuts of the U19 Canadian National team.
DEFENSE/LSM – Colin Squires – University of Denver (West Linn ’16)
- Denver – 3 yr starter, ’20 Pre Season 1st Team All-Big East, ’19 2nd Team All-Big East, Team Captain
- West Linn – 2x State Champion, All American, 1st Team All-State, Team Captain
Colin is a relentless player who is often given the task of covering a team’s best attackman. Matching up against the likes of Sergio Perkovic, Connor Fields, and Michael Sowers during his Denver career. Colin is returning to Denver next season to fulfill his covid19 shortened Senior year.
DEFENSE – Zane Sands – University of Albany (Sherwood ’18)
- Sherwood – 2nd Team All-State
Zane suffered a serious knee injury at Albany his freshmen year but recovered in time to get set to play in 2020. Zane is a good communicator and works well with in-close defenders. Having had to cover players like Tehoka Nanticoke for 2 years in practice, Zane can give you advice on how to defend the toughest of attackmen.
